Last night, there was a thunderstorm. It rained heavily all the way to this morning. It looked like a water curtain down from the heaven, which was almost artificial and looked extremely like the rains in TVs in which the couple are forced to separate by someone for example the cruel mother-in-law.

Using “heavily” to describe the rain was the first unusual expression I learned when I was at middle school. Back that time, I was not a good English learner. I found it hard to speak or write freely in the first year.

No one would have assumed that I became the best scorer 3 years later. I became the hostess of the school broadcast. It was of great fun for me to hear my own voice floating in the air upon the campus. Although the job for me didn’t last long, I really thank my teacher Ms. Ma. It’s she who has sparkled my interest in English. It’s she who has promoted me to make my determination to learn English. English has more than the letters and words. There are novels, poems, and drama. There are much more knowledge and anecdotes about a country. There are more for me to explore in the future.

I have a dream to become a professor in English, like Ms. Ma who can have a positive influence on her students. Opening the windows of an anther wonderful world, introducing them to the outside, I will be the real gardener.
