Austin’s Pride and Prejudices reflected the problem of marriage. This novel was one of the most popular works. In fact, this novel vividly described the human life in a town of British during the late 18th century to early 19th century. It was famous for beautiful social customs, which not only attracted many readers at that time, but also was popular today. All the readers could be given an unique artistic enjoyment after reading this novel. She was the first one to describe ordinary life realistically. So her works played an important role in the English novel.

    There’s no torrential momentum or no winding plot, but its simple, elegant fascinated us. Austin’s short life of the countryside was almost spent in the UK, perhaps living around simple, quiet atmosphere gave birth to her unique temperament. There was no doubt that she had plentiful abilities to analyze in despite of lacking different experience. After reading Pride and Prejudice, you would be convinced by her sensible emotion. When writing Pride and Prejudice, she was only a teenage girl. She was a genius, wasn’t she? So she must have perfect imagination and thought.

    This novel was witty, fun, light comedy. It was primarily written to small squire five Bennet, Mrs. Bennet worried about her daughter all day with their husband.

New neighbor, Mr. Bingley is a man of large fortune, he became the target hunted by Mrs. Bennet. At a ball, Bingley loved the Bennet family eldest daughter Jane at first sight, Mrs. Bennet was ecstatic……

    In my opinion, I think of some of the young men and women nowadays, they are greedy for money and power. In their view, money and right are their spouse standard. As the vain, shallow noisy Mrs. Bennet; some attractive men and women manufactures all kinds of false , as the novel describe, the extremely dirty inside, hypocrites Mr. Wickham; Some men and women are indulging, ignorant, frivolous. They have been looked down upon as daughter Lydia, her heavy debt is supported by her elder sister Jane, Elizabeth. Also some men and women, seeing their friends do not love their own, but love others, on blocking, verbally abusive people. After reading this book, I think it is wrong to get married for the property, money and position. Get married does not consider that above-mentioned factors are unwise too.
