English,English?English!What is your feeling about it ?

There are so many people learning English plenty of years but don’t show any interest in it .There exist a number of college students who have already passed CET4 and CET 6 but still unable to communicate with a foreign friend.What on earth is the criterion of a good command of English.

I am not an expert at English,but I really love it ,with great passion and enthusiasm.Today,I am here ,planning to share my way of learning English with all the friends .Maybe my means is not totally suitable for you ,but I sincerely hope you can gain something ,even if only a little, from my experience.

As we all know, Englsh mainly consists of four parts, namely listening ,speaking, writing and reading. I would like to state from these four aspects.

In the listening part, I want to recommend VOA .It provides people with  the news of current affairs in standard speed. After several times, if you still couldn’t make it out,you can turn to the relevant text .For the starters,VOA slow -speed Engslih and VOA English-teaching are good choice.For myself ,I not only get my listening ability improved ,but also broaden my horizon .If you prefer B ritish English ,then BBC is your nice alternative.

Second,let’s say something about speaking part.During my university life,I have an oral-English partner.We practiced speaking English three times a week .The topic can from TOEFL exam and BEC exam,and sometimes we just do free talk.If you don’t want to find a partner,you can participate in the activities such as English corner ,morning reading ,just creat an environment to speak English. Watching English movies and TV series is another good way to polish speaking ability.You are capable of learning the nice pronouciation and genuine statement of  the local American conversation.I strongly wanna suggest watching “Friends”,a classic.

Now, here comes the writing part.Websites like http://www.dioenglish.com are just good stage to show ourselves.You can write English blog and chat with friends there.Please don’t be afraid of making mistakes, noone is born to be perfect.One is growing up through falling down and getting up again.MSN and Email are the tools we can utilize.

Last but not least, let’s face the reading part.We do a lot of reading each day ,we read newspapers,magazines,books,we search the Internet and we look through bulletin and advertisement.We acquire information and knowledge by reading. “China Daily” is my favorite reading material,and the new concept English is a wonderful recommendation for English learners in my perspective.

Each person can have his or her own way to learn English well.We have so many resource today,we have so many paths to approach English.Whatever way,whatever path,person who is in pursuit of English should have persistence,coz language learning is an accumulative process.If you have interest,that would be better.
