Today ,a sunny day,our school held the 38th sports meeting,a real feast for all the faculties and students.

Sports meeting is a grand event  held  every May ,in which students from different majors and schools participate in it and have an get-together and celebration.It is a time for the athletes to perform their wonderful skills ,it is a time for students to show friendship and unity,it is a time for all the people to release enthusiasm and excitement.

Sprint like 100m race needs fast speed and explosive power ,and the winner can turn out in a very short time.Long-distance race requires great perseverance and endurance.As for the field events, leaping ability and energy is helpful.Audience can focus on various competitions according to their own tastes.

At the end of each competition,there would turn up a winner,who receive most applause,glory,fame in school and even love.I should say,they deserve it ,coz behind the success,there must be numerous efforts and practice.It is they,who add more colour to the feast,it is they,who arouse the passion of the students,but we can’t pay all our attention to them.

In the sports meeting,everybody deserves the applause.We tend to cheer up for the winner,but ignore the runner-ups. As matter of fact,they are heros,too.They are just next to the first one,and they give stress to the winner to explore more potentiality.Those who don’t have a good performance in the final results  are also the real men,for the reason that they  at least have the courage to challenge themselves,they wanna do some contribution to the school,and they persist all the way .

I don’t mean to give the winners my applause,but I prefer encouraging those who fall behind,for they are heros get less attention and they need more courage to appear in the stage.

Next time ,please clap for all the plays in the games,coz all of them deserve it !
