First wedge that restricted by my english level it may not be expressed well about the film reviews, but i`d like to challenge myself to edge up.

      North and south filmed by BBC based on orignal book, I have read through the book which is much flat compared with the film adaptation which add more colorful details to show clearly about the shift of the story growth.

      As you can see from the title, it contains conflicts by geographic reason in which as old saying different place with unique culatures and evaluations.

     The hero called Thornton living in North, a hard striving cotton miller be harsh to his staff but integrity, shows fortitude in the persuit of business. He was borned in a rich family which not in accordance with normal story-telling background, he take head of family when he was teen after his father bankrupted due to wildly speculate the business leading to the suicide. He paid back the debt after a lot of father`s creditor had given up and thought defenseless poor famly can`t manage to do it. He is tough and being very fierce when his staff break the mill regulation which potentially ruin everything.

     The heroine living in south, well-eduationed and a strong-opinioned girl. Due to his father religionous conscious moving the family from the flower blooming pastoral south to the dusty industry north. I have to say it is the first film attracted by heorine who seems like the picture in the oil-painting and brave enough to air her view in the pubic at that time even though she represent the opposition. Of course she understand well the poor situation the mill staff to face. Intially she got bad impression about hero and then they in two different side line.

    There are no results to draw that who is right cau two represent the different society level. The miller still hard working to survive his business and also the staff through strike to raise their money due to product rise. Then though these two people thinking different way of each side finially to make thing harmonious. It is film much more than love story which not only portray the part of history also picture the right moral to obey with. What i appriciate is the two player not blindly fall in love then accept all each other`s though no matter is right or wrong, they two have their own principle and evaluation to judge then admired by good virtue of their own.

     So if you are fumble sth to do, you may enjoy it. But i have to say due to govenment restriction hardly find the video online with more choice, you have to put up with poor image and slow internet speed.
