“marriage is the tomb of love”.How often we hear such words. If so,why are so many people  eager to get married? If so,how do we explain considerable happy marriages existing in the world?Any discussions about these problems would inevitably involve the relationship between love and marriage.

To a large extent,I don’t agree the idea that marrige murders love.As far as I am concerned,a humdrum marriage does not bury or obliterate the love but plays down the romance of love. This doesn’t mean no romance exists in marriage. A hug,a gift for the beloved,intimate words, a worry about your spouse,all of them can stand for love in marriage.

Marriage just shifts love from superficially hot to plain.Marriage cannot be perfect without love,for love is the foundation of the marriage.

Marriage,in a sense,is a mature product of love, which makes love deeper and more meaningful. Marriage provides a substantial support for love. Marriage is the corollary of love.Love without marriage is just a hollow emotion, though it often comes with romances, yet not the love of life will never be the fruit of love.
