You can go out visiting your middle schoolmates' university. You can look for some part-time jobs to earn money on your own. The difference between college life and middle school life is, in my opinion, that you have more time to map out.

- Houston: Try to find something you are interested or important to you.One of my confusion is whether I should do my part-time job. That job may cost me many time, but I can't earn many money from it. If I take it, I'm afraid of having no time to join the school activities or study. I want to do something to know the living, but on the other side, I wonder what is the meaning of college, if I'm not here, I can still do something. And what's more, many people said don't think you a that much different because of your college education, when you find job, do from the basic job........I'm very very very confused...

most of the time i learn english by oneself , when my classmates went to have lessons , i was reading books in the school library ,
i think the most valuable teacher in my college is school library and library of english department ,
sometimes if you want to achieve you must reconcile yourself , you should learn what we are in need of when we are working , you should try to find a job and exercise yourself ,
come to Shanghai , because there are many job opportunities ,

- ybq1215: in college i don't learn much from my teachers ,I never went to shanghai, it must be a beautiful city....And, there is a job, if I take that I must work 12 hours at weekends to earn 26 yuan...I'm not sure whether I should go...My teacher told me if I need to find a job, it must be the one I can practise my ability in the field I will commit in...So I really don't know if this part-time job is just a waste of time................But here in Shandong, I don't think I can find a job which has something to do with my major....

- After I read the message above, I have found out something. I'm a junior and maybe I can tell you something.
I think the most two important things in the university are to learn knowledge and train yourself. They are both different from what you did in your middle school.
About study. If you are satisfied with your major and think you can find good jobs with what you have and will learn, study hard. Above what teacher said and examine, you should learn more in the library. If you feel hopeless about your major, then study other knowledge out of the class. The biggest difference is in middle school you must learn what you have to learn and you'll have no time to learn what you like. But in the university, you have enough time to do what you like. Try to get some certifications so that you can have superiority to other students.
About training. The purpose of taking the activities in the university is not for fun but for the abilities, your abilities of expression, your abilities of organization and so forth. And the purpose of doing part-time jobs is to see and feel the rough edges of the society. It's good to you when you get jobs in the future.
In a word, it's normal to be confused. But then you should think what you want to do. The difference between**is the difference of your goal. Try to figure out what you really like to do and then go ahead!
