The below passage,"the future", comes from New concept english II. In these days, I recited it for hundreds of times.
At a village fair, I decided to visit a Fortune-teller called Madam Belinsky. I went into this tent and she told me to sit down. After I had given her some money, she looked into a crystal ball and said, " a relation of yours is coming to see you. she will be arriving this evening and intends to stay for a few day. the moment you leave this tent, you will get a big surprise. a woman you know well will rush towards you. she will speak to you and then she will lead you away from this place. That's all" as soon as i went outside, i forgot all about Madem belinsky because my wife hurried towards me. where have you been hiding, she asked impatiently. your sister will be here in less than an hour and we must be at the station to meet her. we are lately already. as she walked away, i follow her out of the fair.
Does what Madam belinsky said come true?
I can't imagine that the Fortune-teller really will predict the future, but the result of her said has happened. I am lookin for some clues to explain why she is able to looking the future, e.g. the crystal ball. All of clues point at the crystal ball that she looked into, the truth is only one.
Dear freinds, let's us to discuss the story.
