Family--where you are from and what you are living for

671 views. 2010-7-6 23:00 |

Today, I want to talk about my family.

To me, family is the nest of my soul though I’m always far from my home and spent most of my time in school. My parents are peasants and I have two sisters. I know very early that it is a tough task for them to support us so I study very hard and dream that one day I can share the bitterness and happiness with them.

My father is a person who never deliberately chases after something especially the material property. He always tells me that you are the best as long as you try your best. Maybe his value is to be a mediocre. But I always pursue the highest point though sometimes it is really beyond my competence and every time i will recall my father’s words which comfort me a lot.

My mother is the person I used to dislike and with whom I can’t agree with in some aspects. I used to think that mom is too materialism but when I get grown up I find that she is the one who sacrifice the most in my family. She sacrificed her youth and beauty for this family. Mom was very beautiful when she was young and a lot of men admired her. But she got married to my father under my grandfather’s management. My father was poor and I think the most fortunate thing is that these two persons who seemed to be in two total different worlds finally got together and spend over twenty years. My mother is not so good tempered and tender as other girls. She is very smart and direct so sometimes she seems to be the master of my family. But my father just stands her for twenty years though there are so many quarrels. I always think that marriage is a process of reconciling with each other and taking care of each other no matter how tough the life is. The process may be filled with ups and downs but as long as two persons persist and hold on.

My elder sister now works as an english editor after her graduation. But my younger sister doesn’t have that fortune,. She failed in the college entrance exam and then went out for work, which I always feel sympathized with. But she is very optimistic and poses a right attitude when confronted with difficulties.

That is my family and that is the nest of my soul. Whenever we are and whatever we are doing and however we are, family can be the biggest incentive for you to make your life goes on and keep your steps forward.

Wow, your family background is familiar with mine, I have a little sister and a little brother. We three are students yet. Whenever we go, our family are always there to support us.
