Rebecca is my good friend.Last week, her husband went to Sudan in North Africa.It's very hot there.Also ,it's a long way.While ,thanks to the information technology,she and her husband can communicate with each other on Internet,they can see each other through the video,they can hear the voice......All of these should contribute to the advanced tech in morden times.If there were no internet ,how we communicate with people all over the world?If so, how can I make friends with others here?

- Internet and cellphones have indeed revolutionised our life. Internet is low cost communication and it can be used for personal and business use. Before the internet, we have to buy writing paper, pen, ink and postage. We then write out our letter with hand, the post it. It normall take weeks to reach and also we have to wait weeks for the return. Previously we had to spend half a day going to the library to find some information. Now we only have to press a few keys on our keyboard and we have the latest information. We can easily make new friends, whereas before we had to to go to parties or other functions to make new friends. Cellphones also changed our lives a lot. Almost everyone has a cellphone now and we can use if in emergencies or people can keep in contact no matter where you are. The undesirable effect of the internet and cellphones is that it makes our lives too electronic and lacks the personal touch.

- Internet definitely makes our life more conveinent, but in the other hand, it also unfortunately widens the gap between people's inward world. So i think this is one of the reasons why society is becoming more and more indifferent.

- I kind of agree with RedLizzie upstairs.while the Internet do bring us convenience,distance between people also get further.We are not who we used to be ,and I really miss the old days when we write to each other !

- Internet does offer the convenience for daily communication, and learning the information; but on the other hand, we are losing the trational way of life, the whole world is becoming more or less the same, and the competition is becoming much more serious.
