I used to belive that talent is important for a job, now I realized I am wrong.Obedience, absolute obedience, is what the boss want, which is called performance ability.Although his policy and instruction are craps, you must obey it. why? Because the boss himself is the biggest talent, that is regarded why he became the boss and hire you, how can you offend his authority and make judgement.If his instruction is wrong, just do it without any advice, waste time and let the fact prove it.Let the boss be the first one to find out fact and tell you how to correct it, accept it if he said it is your fault.
The Boss like those with moderate ability but make them comfortalbe,and will promote them to important positions. That may be why you will find those in high positions in a company are not alway the ablest persons.
These years I just keep learning and improving my ability, I think I am not in a higer postion because I am not capable. In fact what I must improve is skills, which make the boss discover me and believe in me. maybe I can never do it, and never get promoted, that is ok, it is not too bad to make at least myself comfortalbe .
