In the end of season 3, FRIENDS, Monica made a zilllionare boyfriend, Pete. He was less than 30, but made a great success in business.He had all the characters leading him to success: smart, persistant and agressive. These characters also played in his persuing of Monica.
He keep aksing Monica out after several refusal from her.The he tipped her a 20000 dolllar check to tempt her to his office to argue with him about his method and persuade her to have a date with him.After several great dates, when Monica said she was not attracted to him, he reacted quite cool, because he was confident he will got a way to make her feel different.Back from a trip, he bought a restaurant and invite Monica to be the head chef. to make her relax,he made up a romantic history with a journalist on the plane.because he knew if they spent enough time together, she will fall in love with him. Then he did it.That is Pete, he would not give up.If the restaurant thing did not work, he would take his next step
Lucky guy! He had everything.As he said, he conquered the business world, he conquered the intellectual world and he had the beautiful woman he loved, how perfect it will be if he proposed to Monica and they get married and lead a happy and rich life together.But he chose to challenge the physical world----the brutal ultimate fight.
He was not lucky again in this world.Every fight beat him blue and black. But he was blind to his weekness, he would not quit despite of Monica's advise and warning.His characters became fatal. His successflul experience in business push him far and rar on the wrong road.Finally, he lost his woman and got his body badly injured.Would he be beaten by this failure ? FRIENDS did not tell us.
But in life, there were someone beaten by their self-enhancement.If one is successful in one field or several fields, does it mean he will be successful everywhere?

- pDa: FRIENDS, My favorite American Tv series. it takes lots meanings to me,just enjoy it,you will learn a lot...I am watching this series for the second time. this time I learned more than the first time.I don't know if there will be the third time, but i believe each more time we will understand it somthing different.

- Even a person who born under the lucky star can’t always be that lucky. Failure and Success, like shadow and light, have woven together by the fate---perhaps in different pattern, some has more Failures, some has more Success, but it can’t be just only one. I don’t believe that Pete would be eventually beaten up. After all, success requires a kind of strong personality. With that personality, he would survive.
