Dull Work

Every Saturday morning,I had to get up very early at 7 o'clock since I was seven.In a great hurry, I 

often grabbed my heavy package and rushed to school without having breakfast.The only reason that 

made me as busy as a squirrel is my attendance to the training course of Chinese painting at weekends.

The course continued six years long.

While other kids were watching TV or still sleeping in bed at weekends,I was compelled to put my 

canvas and had already to prepare for painting.Since the Chinese painting depicts things by clean 

line ,stroke and lively scene.

If the ink was not moist enough to make the lines smooth,or I solied  my rice paper with ink,I would 

have changed another piece of paper and do it all over again. What I most often did at that time 

was copying a lot of Chinese paintings .Every time I washed writing brushes,my hands were bound to 

be as diverse and colorful as used palette.In the winter,the water was freezing cold and the fingers

often were red with cold.
At that time I believed that Chinese painting is the last subject I like.But when I grew up and 

realized its benefit from the dull work in the childhood:I have remembered a lot of Chinese ancient

 poems and known many great minds in the history.I have a good taste of beauty.The most meaningful 

is the Chinese painting makes my life worthwhile.
