Twenties Decides a Woman’s a Whole Life

Steve Chandler one said “For every person in this world, there is a book tailored for him or her to change his or her life.” Well, whether it is true or false we can not judge till we find it. But how many books shall we read before finding the one mated for us? Actually we should not understand Steve’s words literally. What he really wants to convey to his readers is that one should always read as eagerly as if looking for that magically tailored book. That’s the essence of his message in my point of view.

And here is a book I just finished, named Twenties Decides a Woman’s a Whole Life, written by a Korean female writer, Nan Renshu. It is kind of like my tailored book; that’s why I would like to share.

First things first, Nan said those who can bomb into Happy Goddess are clever women. Well, for the word “clever” I did not think Nan meant someone who had high EQ or IQ. Actually Nan defined “clever” in her article as “having dreams”. In other words, the women who have dreams can be regarded as being clever. Nan also pointed out in her book that the women, who are dying to realize their dreams have to qualify themselves first, including enhancing their abilities, refreshing their minds and gladdening their hearts. Only when they exert themselves to reach all these points can they pave out the way to happiness. At the very beginning I thought it was way too exacting to ask for such high requisites of being happy. However, later on, I gradually apprehended the author’s message. That is the more you ask from yourself, the more you can get out of your potentials.

Apart from the above, Nan brought me another golden rule that is a good woman never picks on herself but just accepts her bad points calmly and try to find ways to improve. You know, every girl hopes she can ascend the throne as a princess someday or let me put it in this way, become a perfect woman, but not every girl is qualified to be the one. In order to brace yourself for that, you are very likely to “suffer” more than you expect because you may become picky to yourself. And I have to confess that I am a perfect example of this kind——on one hand, I struggle to become as perfect as I wish, on the other hand I pick upon every deed I have done. As a result, I become so particular that I almost hate myself sometimes. But Nan said a good woman should never pick on herself; a good woman should be not only forbearing to others but also to herself; a good woman should encourage and console herself where she feels thwarted or sorry. If she could successfully manage her flaws in that way, she would not only warm her soul but also sublime it, leap and bound. Accordingly, she will draw closer and closer to a perfect woman, which I quite agree on.

Last but not least, Nan also presented her readers that a woman at twenties should read more. As the old saying goes, “Elegance comes out of inside knowledge” especially for girls, but where can you get the knowledge that could adorn you? The author helped you answer this question. That is books. A book is to some degree like the make-up to a girl; the difference between them is that the latter can only decorate a woman seemingly but the former spiritually. For a beautiful woman, she should not only look gracefully without but within. Besides, Nan also emphasized that a woman should read books in all categories. No matter it is about psychology, philosophy, history, religion, literature or else, you just get yourself sunk in the book river and baptized by them. According to the author, the same as choosing favorite make-ups, a woman is supposed to choose her favorite books as well. As the passage of time, she will find her right book and also the cream to her soul.Having said so much, it may arouse some ripples with you, which I am not certain at all. But I do hope there can be more girls like me, at our twenties, are searching for happiness enthusiastically and persistently. PS. My next target book, The Secret, from Rhonda Byrne, would like to share.
