Quiet Garden locates at 70 of Anshan Road in Tianjin. It is a Spanish style house with garden built by the Japanese settlers in 1921. The last emperor and queen of Qing Dynasty once lived there and named it Quiet Garden which means to rest and revive in quietness. Now the garden is well reserved by the local government as a historical and cultural attraction.

This summer I went on a visit to Quiet Garden. I love architecture very much. For people like me could appreciate the layout, exterior decorations, and details of the garden with keen interest despite that there is not much recreation. I walked round in the garden with my camera and took photos of any interesting corner.

I felt lucky that it was not a busy day when I was there. Therefore, there was no distraction when I got lost in my own world together with the special scenery. I even took a close look at the windows, doors, plants, lamps, benches and plants over there.

Inside the house, the layout is of a Japanese style, which differs from the exterior buildings. The furniture are reserved in the way it used to be arranged. There are also displays of pictures, written materials and articles about Puyi and Quiet Garden, which restored the history and life of his time. Although I am not quite into history, the old things always appear interesting and attractive to me.

The time has gone, but the memory and footprint of time remains and continues to shine. That is why those former homes of celebrities are always hot spot for travelers to visit. We try to catch the feelings of old houses, appreciate the stories of the past, find fresh ideas from what is different from our life, and reflect with the combination of all these thoughts.
