I was supposed to be off work and took a good rest after busy work for last two weeks. However, my boss told me one of his friends has attended the Guangzhou Fair from July 8-11, 2012, total 4 days, and I would be the interpreter.
Even I was plan not going anywhere and stayed home, without any excuses, I have to promise to make it and be professional. The night before the fair, I got to know the products are all hardwares, and took some note about this line, the common material, common use, and what prices for each of them. I have been working as an interpreter when I was a sophomore, so no any pressure to take it.
My first day was not good, most of buyers just came and asked for prices, as they were all looking for lower price with good quality in a hurry time. Then most of time was exchange the name cards and offered the catalogs...
The next three days really would kill me, got up very early and caught the buses and metro, normally took 2 hours reached there. And, the reason why I dont want to work in Guangzhou could be the metro life seems really crazy, especially line 3.
The foreign buyers most are from Middle East, fewer in good English and manners, unlike our customers that from Europe, always act as a gentleman, but they share same common that good at doing business in China.
But for me, I really unwilling to do it again, really exhausted...
