Having business trip for Music China in Shanghai for five days from 10th to 14th October, where I have been there last year, no more expectations but more worries.
I got up at 4:30am to catch the flight to Shanghai at 7:05am, maybe just a few hours sleeping. I felt afraid when I walked in dark road alone, everything seemed really quiet, and I thinked of a song named"the sound of silence". Everything went smoothly that we reached the airport very early and to get the boarding pass to wait for the flight...
It just took 2 hours that we reached Shanghai Pudong airport, and next stop would be the hotel. I knew I would be in troubles to live in such a hotel, but it was just ok for a couple of days, for breakfast and pick up service were included. I have to pass the hotel details that really killed me in some way...
After checked in the hotel, we went to set up the booth, which was in a big mess. In fact, I took care of the booth design and construction, I made a phonecall to ask the only one that could help me out of it, and she done a good job finally, which I could rest assure for a while. After the busy day, we went to have dinner near our hotel, and I drank some beer to fresh myself. This was the first day, and I could have a good rest after the dinner.
On 13rd, one of our customer Wolfgang invited me to attend the music concert but my boss said no for I need to have dinner tonight. Dinner was same as last year that Miss Yuan invited us to come and join them. I left eariler to pick up the guitar artists from the hotel. To save time, metro may be the fastest way, but I was wrong. Metro in Shanghai is very slow, and I knew go to the restaurent by taxi would be more convenient, and they were agreed with me.
I drank a lot, like beer, Champagne and wine, in fact, I felt very hot and went to wash my face from time to time, and also drank some ice water to make myself felt comfortable. To make it clear that I was not drank, this was true.
I did not go out for fun as last year, because Shanghai in my mind that always made me felt exhausted. This time, when I backed from Shanghai, the most important thing are sleeping and eating. I am happy to have some good soup this morning without cooking by myself, with many thanks in my heart...I feel much better now...
