Last week I learned an article entitled “Thinking as a hobby” it was not until what the teacher said in the translation class that I understand what the author means in his article.

We went to the class room as usual and we didn’t see the teacher until several minutes before class. He’s skinny, with a pair of a glass. At first, he didn’t leave me much impression, but what he said next utterly changed my attitude towards him. Having learned we haven’t got our textbooks yet then he asked a question which I thought out of our expectation. “When do you think translation history began in China and why” said the teacher. “Tang dynasty” said some of my classmates without hesitation. “Don’t haste to answer this question, you have five more minutes to reconsider it carefully” said the teacher. “How should I know” a flick of thought occurred in my mind. Having seen my classmates were having a heated discussion, I changed my thought and tried to find the answer but I failed at last. “Now, tell me what you think about this one” asked the teacher. “Han, Wei Sui~~” said some of my classmates. “I didn’t want to comment your answer right now” said the teacher, “The reason why I ask the question is that I want to know how you get your answers and guide you how to find solutions to questions”.

After his vivid description on this question I found that it’s not easy to be true thinker, factors such as background we grow up, the way of our thinking, age, etc have a great effect on us when we’re thinking. I think, Life is the process of constant thinking and constant finding the truth.
