I am member 83. I have a Chinese friend Li Gao. He wanted help finding some friends on line. I searched Yahoo and found Julian's website (ok-english). I started posting notes there more than a year ago.
I became popular on that website for two reasons: 1) I'm an American who is learning Chinese and studying to learn more about China and teaching myself rather than using a school, and 2) I like to write!
