It becomes relatively harder to operate European shipments nowadays, and we have got to observe that strict rule, in other words, correct shipping instruction needs to be submitted to forwarder on time, if not, we will suffer from extra charges for delayed document, and the worse is that our shipment will probably be delayed to next vessel by carrier directly.
Sometimes we have to pick up the empty container before loading, as we didn't finish our production ahead of the time of presenting document to forwarder.
And this will cause us rmb250.
Being a documentary clerk, I need to pay high attention to doing every document, and after doing, I still have to double check whether all is right or not?
However, I made mistake last week, the document I submited is not completely correct in someplace.
On the weekend, I always thought about this issue, althought I told myself do not think more about it, as mistakes already occurred, and I thought if forwarder do not help me correct the document next Monday, then I will send the document to our customer to see whether it is still acceptable for them? Otherwise, I will bear rmb500 for revising document,
It is obvious that I clearly know the results, so do not let such thing spoil myself weekend anymore.
However, I am a lucky dog this time, as forwarder revised the docuement without debiting me any extra charges, just said to me please be more careful in future.

- Actually the same thing is happening here in Hong Kong for shipments to all countries, not only European markets. Final documentation data must be submitted within 7 days of departure. There would be a US$50 fine for amendments or data delay after 7 days. Do not take the empty container unless sure goods are ready, otherwise expensive storage and other charges. Customers have their own documentation requirements which we must follow and sometimes the instructions are not clear resulting in misunderstanding. Shipping and documentation is simple like before. Tough times ahead.

- Your are very lucky. I made a mistake for the Bill of lading, now our customer requrie us to send them about 1000 RMB for the BL amendment, I feell very uneasy today.

Maybe my boss wLC requirements are strict and you must make sure you can satisfy all the terms and requirements before you proceed with shipment. There are quite many things you have to check beforehand otherwise you will have to give a guarantee and not sure if you can collect the LC money. Hope you have proper training in this and are familiar with the ICC Letter of Credit stipulations. The LC document checkers at your bank follows these ICC stipulations to check your documents.
