One cold night during the Christmas season, a little boy about six or seven years old was standing in front of the store window.

The boy had no shoes, and his clothes were mere rags.

A young woman passing by saw the little boy, and she could read the longings in the pale blue eyes of that boy, so she came near and took the little boy by his arm, and led him into the store. There she bought him a pair of shoes and a complete suit of warm clothes.

While they came back outside into the street, the girl said to the boy:” now you can go home and spend a happy festival.”

The boy looked up at her and asked:” are you the god, ma'am?

The girl smiled down at him and replied:” no, I am just one of his child.”

The boy then said: I knew you had to be some relation.”
