There are two black sheeps in our office, their working seat are closer, and they always make noisy during working time, I don't think the superior is wise enough to arrange their working seat so close, if I were the leader I will part them as far as possible in order to build a quiet office environment.

If there is nothing to do, they both will have a casual chat, I hate them as their noisy influence me or make me distract. How I wish I have a working environment as quiet as library. Or how I wish they are tied up with work every day so that they don't have time to chat.

One of them ever wondered and asked me why I am so silent in the office, I said to her, "now is the working time, it is not right to chat. " She responded, "wow, you must be the good employee in superior's eyes. Superior always appreciates employee like you." I intend to say in a firmly voice to make her abashed for her previous improper behavior at work. However, it seems that I fail to get that satisfy result. On the contrary, she sneers my proper behavior.

Sometimes I do want to stop them to give vent to my vexation, however, I have no courage, I am just an ordinary employee in the company, I don't have right to speak, I am not the person who pay their salary every month. If I stop them to chat, maybe they will isolate me, or they will hate my guts, or I will have an unpleasant interpersonal relationship in the office.

I have no other choice but to write down something unpleasant here. Actually, the thing is not that bad as my imagination, at least it is a source of writing for me today.

Simple. Since you cannot stop them then might as well encourage them to be as loud as possible. Let the management take care of that.   I wonder which manager can stand that and if he can stand it, he got to have his brain checked.

It's not that easy as you said, they are smart, they also know now is the working time, they chat in low sound volume lest they would be catched by manager.

Of course it is not that simple, there are so many ways to counter them. Use some imagination.

I once headed a medium sized company. One day I interviewed and employed a seemingly smart guy aged 22. He was quite good at work, especially in things required smooth talking. Soon, he thought he was smarter than everyone in the company. He started to venture out of his area and had contacts with the board of directors. Somehow, he gained the admiration of a top director through sweet talking. He was given the number 2 position despite not having enough experience. I let him do whatever he liked and he even tried to challenge me. OK fine. Three months later he got an order from a customer but I noticed that the brand name belongs to another company and he did not have permission to use it. I did not alert him because he was not under my observation. He exibited the product at a fair and the brand owners notice, reported him and the police came to our office, arrested 3 people including him. It was reported in the newspapers in disgrace. Not only he lost his job but also facing prison.

Take another example, Steve jobs, the founder and head of Apple computers employed John Scully as his assistant. After several months John went to the Chairman of the board to reveal certain problems about Steve Jobs, the Chairman go so far as to fire Steve Jobs and made John the top guy. Profits went up for a short time, but crashed later. Apple then realised that only Steve Jobs can save and run Apple Computers. He returned to his post as CEO until his death. That shows that even in big companies, this can happen so anything can happen in smaller companies.

hehe, maybe it is that you are more lucky than me, or I think more over on the relationship. Anyway, you have a solution to give vent to your dissatisfaction. Good luck.
