We shipped two containers before the New Year's Day.
However, I have to say we are really unlucky this time, at the beginning, it is my fault for I am so careless that I didn't pay attention to the exact cut off time of submitting shipping instruction. And I informed factory they had to finish their production on a date, which is later one day than the cut off time. After I realised that I made mistake, it is late for me to change the fact. As we all know, factory could hardly effect shipment in advance.
So we had to pick up the container before we arranged loading, then extra charge RMB250 occured.
At that time I still think we made customs declaration at the weekend, therefore it is relatively easy to get through the customs clearance without being inspected. It is worthwhile for us to take the chance.
The fact is I couldn't expect that we confronted with the worst at last. The container was suffered from the customs inspection, and extra charge RMB830 occured, this is customs broker charges us for the change of vessel and customs inspection fee.
Besides, forwarder still had to charge us for the storage fee, as we failed to catch the original vessel, then we already picked up the container two days earlier for the next vessel. The extra charge is still not confirmed and I guess it probably is RMB500 at least.
The total extra charge arising is about RMB1600 for this container.
The another container is not tight in the shipping schedule, we arranged loading on the yard opening date. Unfortunately, the container was switched to the another vessel by carrier.
