Today I go to a factory for interview, and the UK employer interviewed me fact to face. What a shame, my english listening skill is so bad, I cannot catch her words at all. Then she asked a HK guy come to translate to me to. But I try my best to reply to the UK interviewer in english.<div><br></div><div>I do not know why it is so difficult for me to improve my listening ability. During the conversation, it seems that I am grounded in a room, or stay in an isolated iland. I refuse to hear anything. Really a headache for me and until now I still havenot seeked a job. I am so depressed. </div>

- Oh come on dear. Your English listening is not so bad. You just did not have enough practice and went for the interview. The way UK people speak may appear strange to you and it is normal that you can't get what she is saying. You were also nervous as interviews are quite stressful.
Try to listen to radio BBC news or talk shows. At first you would understand a little but later you would get used to it and understand more. You have sufficient knowledge of English so don't waste what you have learned. You will be successful. Go for it.

- Do not feel bad. English is not the language we use in daily life, so it really needs time to get used to it, including, what people speak, write, etc. And when we are talking we have to react more quickly since we can not look up words or something we do not know in the middle of converstaion. That is so needed to exercises.
By the way, online radio BBC is a nice method to help us to master what people say in the british way. I think you can be ok with that only if you hang in there. Good luck.

- Only I talked to my elder sister in English . She said I was just showing off . In fact , I really want to improve my English . How I want someone to practise with me together !

- Your former experience is treasurable and now you never stop using English . I am interested in English,too . Altough I don't know what 's the use of going on learning English ,I think English is beautiful and and a person with good English will feel more confident .

- Before ,I am a begginer, and I meet such kind of situations. But now, I can communicate with foreign friends, though , most times , I just make mistakes, but they really know what I am saying. I guess that , we make lots of mistakes due to we are afraid, the more we fear, the more mistakes we may make. So, just brave, and speak it loudly.
Since the problems coming, instead of state the facts, why do not we regard this event as a motivation to improve our English?
Practise makes perfect, just do it.
