Several days ago, it was my first time to "practice" the report writing and this Saturday I'll take the exam. - -!

    Question: The number of staff using the company canteen at mealitmes has been falling and the Managing Director has asked you to find out why this is the case.
    Write a report for the managing director.
        Explaining how you found out the opinions of the staff
        Summarising the reasons staff gave for not using the canteen
        Suggesting possible ways of encouraging staff to use the canteen

Introduction
    Recently, the number of staff using our company canteen at mealtimes has been falling. This report aims to illustrate the reasons behind and suggest possible ways to encourage staff to use the canteen.

Findings
    To learn the opinions of the staff, I conducted a survey to different departments, which asked about what the staff liked to eat, what they commented on our canteen, and what their advice is to improve the canteen. Most of them responded actively and carefully, with some views unveiled.
    Around 80% of the staff who preferred to eat outside expressed their complaint about the unchanged food in the canteen. Generally they had already eaten all the dishes and had no appetite when seeing the same food. Besides, it was said that sanitation of the canteen was not very satisfactory, especially on Mondays. Next, some employees considered a few service staff as grumpy, impatient and unfriendly. In addition, there was a growing number of new restaurants nearby which attracted our staff to change a taste.

Suggestions
    Firstly, we should improve the quality of the food and the dishes can be altered according to different reasons. Secondly, the sanitation problems should be solved. The canteen should be kept tidy and clean. Thirdly, the service staff should be trained; the service should be quick and satisfactory. Fourthly, we can reduce the price of food so that staff can enjoy meals at reasonable prices, which is bound to retain the staff.

Conclution
    Only by taking the suggestions above can the conditions of our canteen be improved. We should let the staff believe our canteen is a nice place for meals.
