Advice to Improve the Bad Situation of the Hotel

    Recently, our budget hotel is not doing well. The vacancy rate is high. To ameliorate the situation, we need to figure out the reasons and take steps to make our hotel really stand out.
    Some reasons behind are revealed in the observation. Several brand new hotels have been opened up in the area which get a bit of an edge as they splurge on to compete with us. In the meantime, a number of existing hotels around are undercutting and introducing appealing offers. Additionally, looking at reasons from within, there are complaints about our out-of-date facilities and services. In this highly competitive market, effective measures should be put into practice as soon as possible before things become any worse.
    First, our hotel is characterized by reasonable price. Travellers get affordable accommodation without sacrificing comfort here. Yet we can still offer policies of preferential price on certain days, especially holidays, to attract more visitors. Second, we should upgrade our in-room facilities with modem connections for laptop computers and other business-oriented amenities, such as multi-line phone with voicemail. Third, we may add some nice athletic facilities. It should never be underrated that workout equipments are an important factor. It's beneficial for customers to get a bit of relaxation and exercise so that they can be well rested and become fitter to enjoy their journey to the fullest or accomplish business tasks.
    Further, to improve our service is also of great importance. Distasteful food, plainly-looking staff, noisy environment, overheated or overcooled rooms, can easily drive our guests away. As a result, we should effectuate more employee training. We can also conduct performance appraisal to motivate staff. For travellers, a message book can be left in every single room in order that they can offer their comments on our hotels and tell us their special interests. In this way we obtain customer feedback and know their degree of satisfaction.
    Last but not the least, in this digital era, a website is not a luxury but rather a necessity for a company. Personally, this can help us discover potential customers. Also we can provide on-line booking service, which becomes increasingly popular. People will have access to the introduction and information of our hotel. Extra travel tips can be posted as well for the convenience of visitors. It's favorable to set up our hotel website in the coming days.
    By doing these things, I believe there will be a considerable rise in the number of our hotel bookings. We should work together to make customers' stay an unforgettable experience.

Seems most of the necessary facts have been covered. Most budget travellers are concerned about the interiors of rooms. How is the condition and cleaniness of the rooms? Pictures must be provided in the websites. There should be incentives for extended stay to avoid guests moving to other hotels. Low maintaince cost without sacrificing quality is also important factor for budget hotel survival.
