City born and city bred , I have always regarded the city as something you work or study from Monday to Friday. People living in there are used to have fun from TV or PC . It’s hard to find a place to satisfy my curiosity and adventurous spirit.

However, an adventure I took few weeks ago completely changed my mind. One day, my friends and I went out to see a late night movie. But when we came out of the movie theater, we found it’s hard to take a bus or a cab when before dawn. Though the theater is distant from our school,the deserted city streets appealed to us, for the traffic jam and crowd have been a part of our lives.

The city sent out its original glamor while dwellers fell asleep. The traffic light changed color but there was not a car on the road. A cat jumped off from the low wall and bypassed us unexpectly. There was something comforting about the warm glow shed by advertisements at cold midnight. What ‘s more，we had no idea about where we were. Maybe we have losted our way. But this kind of uncertainty made our adventure a turely one. Nor was the city without its moments of quiet and peace.

After an hour of walking, we got into a café which open all hours. Nothing can be compared with   chat with best friends, a hot cup of tea with milk, tasty snacks on the table and beautiful night out of the window.

Most people live in the city, yet they always go into raptures at the mere mention of the beauty abroad. As for me, the best scenery just hide somewhere in our city.
