It is said that choosing a car you really like is very much like picking a lover of opposite sex. Personally I believe there’s some truth in it. Despite the fact that I’ll not buy a car in the foreseeable future, I never fail to feel the quickened beating of my heart whenever I see my dreamed cars.
Of all types of cars, no matter what brand names, I like German-made cars the most. I don’t know why and since when I have such a liking. In my impression, the Germans are highly intelligent, and more importantly, meticulous and precise in their work. Just have a look at any history book, and you’ll find how much contribution German scientists and engineers have made to the whole world. No wonder some people say Japanese cars are made by shrewd businessmen while German ones by real engineers. Before you finally decide on a girl to marry, you also need to take her family background into account. For me I will, of course, choose Volkswagen. It’s something natural from the deep of my heart.
American cars closely resemble girls who are modern and fashionable. But you have to be mentally prepared that she is definitely a high-maintenance woman if you chose her to be your wife. Japanese ones are charming and can be very thoughtful. However, to me, she is sort of too sophisticated and I’m not sure how faithful she would be. As for European ones, especially German ones, are both classical and modern; the more you look, the more you appreciate her beauty.
Originally I wished to buy a SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) such as Tiguan, which is famous for its riding comfort. Honestly, she is just the kind of girl I like, but she prefers somebody from a famous wealthy family, not a mere nobody like me. So I gave it up immediately I saw the prices, which are apparently beyond my means. There’s always some distance between ideality and reality, and I have to face this reality.
Considering my current financial conditions, I figure the most ideal would be a Lavida, which is produced by Shanghai Volkswagen. She is beautiful and elegant, whether by Chinese or Western standards, for she is a child of cross-cultural marriage. My second option would be a Bora made by Faw Volkswagen. She is pretty and very well educated, very graceful indeed. Above all, she is of purely German noble blood, thus you can feel an exotic atmosphere.
If things don’t turn out as well as expected, I guess I would have to purchase a Polo, which is also produced by Shanghai Volkswagen. She is the youngest daughter of the German family. So it’s natural that she is a little willful. However, she is lovely in her own way, very lively and athletically beautiful. It’s a little too small but it can serve the purpose for general use. For now I don’t have any other consideration. So what do you think of my choices? They are kind of like my concubines-to-be, aren’t they? When the time comes, I’ll marry one of them with the grandest ceremony.
