Is It a Game of Political Fight?

656 views. 2012-4-12 19:41

The recent news came as a big political event that former Chongqing Party Secretary Bo Xilai has been charged with serious violation of Party discipline. For me, before the release of the CPC Central Committee’s decision, I had vaguely felt that Bo was involved in the case of Wang Lijun. However, I was still astonished when my hunch came true.

What is ironic is that these two high-ranking officials were widely regarded as heroes in the attack against gangs. How was it possible that they became “bad guys” almost overnight? Up to now, we still don’t seem very clear about what really happened. Why on earth did Wang go into the American Consulate? Did he feel insecure or just want to escape further involvement of wrongdoings? Was it all due to the pressure from Bo? What kind of role did Bo play in the case of Neil Heywood? With the information available so limited, it was natural that some people were spreading “rumors”. Some others go so far that they believe it is simply a game of political power struggle.

Perhaps we should give them more time to do a thorough investigation before making it known to the general public. Here I just hope we will not deny everything one did when he is down. The spirit of seeking truth from facts should never be abandoned. Let’s hope it is not a political fight. On the contrary, it is a wonderful example that there’s no privileged citizen before the law. We have this sincere wish because politics does have something to do with us ordinary people. I believe everyone prefers to live in a stable society, not willing to see politicians fighting for power at the cost of us common people.

There is no man but has his fault. when judging a person, we should be fair. and as for politics, I think my arguements won't hold water.

Truth might never be known. But let's not give up hope, or more precisely, faith. I agree B and W have done something good, like anti-gangs,but i think they went too far about Red Songs nuts. perhaps too much power would enventually destory a man's mind.

we have seen too many ugly events, so we seem to doubt what the government says. but i think the trend towards clean and transparent gov will never be held back.

i share the same opinion. however, i guess we should not give up all hope, because things will eventually change for the better.

i guess i don't know more than you do. hehe. there will always be heroes in china, depending on what kind of definition you give for hero. as for li peng, i don't know much about him. is there any inside news? one of your idols, you mean? i suppose i know what you mean.

totally agree. generally singing red songs is nothing wrong, but you just can't go too far, as you said. yes one thing can be certain that extreme power without check will unavoidably lead to corruption and power abuse.

Fights stay always with people, no matter where people live, globe or other planets.

humans are greedy by nature. and without proper check, this desire may get out of control. that's one of the causes of tragedy.

I am afraid it is very difficult for us common people to know what has actually happened among those high-ranking officials  for we are in China

you are very very modest .you ,as a teacher ,can know less polity than me?   l cant believe it .  you want me to give some examples about li peng .  l want to ask you a question : there must be some problems in china for example corruption ,economic hidden trouble ......  but the current prime minister ,温家宝,have not uncovered only one like lipeng. the sole thing 温家宝 do is to cry after the grave accident .how exciting  the crime of smuggle in chongqing is . the word ' this time l went to uncover the chongqing with my coffin ' oftern flies around my ear.  this the ordinary prime minister of china ,a hero in china .  if l am the prime minister ,l will investigate the  crime thorough .

i guess so. that's why many people hate politics, either in china or abroad. i wonder when the political reform will begin and when the opinions of common people will be truly respected.

Ok, i got it. thank you! some people just don't care about politics, some have no trust in the polititians, some who do care have different opinions. to tell the truth, some of my colleagues will never agree with you on this point.  however, it's natural and normal. hehe. have a good evening!
