A leakage at an oilfield from the Penglai 19-3 oilfield in Bohai Bay, operated by ConocoPhillips China (COPC) has been remained as a secret for almost two weeks.
Reports say that the leak has been “effectively controlled”. But this is far from satisfactory, says an article in the Changjiang Daily.
Penglai 19-3 oilfield is operated by COPC under a joint development agreement with the State-owned China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), according to China Daily.
