Last night,I bought several books which are totally new from the second-hand bookstall.
One of them is Milan Kundera's first novel The Joke I haven't read it.Is it bad?
The book was a little worn out and had several light stains on its cover.
If this is the reason that its owner decided to sell or throw it,I would feel so sad for both of them.
I promise I will be very nice about you. You're a good kid.
Milan Kundera is such a famous Czech writer and I almost know all of his works but read few.
The autobiography and the fragile nature of person's fate and weakness his book shows out can cause a strong shock of life.
When I read some wonderful books,I always want to read their original texts. It's a sickness.
It's quirk, especially in recent days,I am crazy about these books in different languages I couldn't understand at all.
Language is different from music and painting, it is not universal.
His The Unbearable Lightness of Being is the most famous one I have read but little of it.
It's said that an American director released a movie for it.Maybe I had watched, maybe didn't,sorry,I have forgot.
Then I found a funny truth and I got the reason why I forgot it.
Someone edited as follows:
"Although the film was considered moderately successful, Kundera was upset about it. He has since forbidden any adaptations of his novels."Hoho~,a great writer.
This book is too famous that I couldn't show some unique opinions,
Maybe, after reading of The Joke which leads the respected writer to the blacklist of Czechoslavakia,
I'll try to share my thoughts with some friends.
