It's really hard for me to make a decision. To buy or not to buy, it's a big problem. I had planned to buy an apartment in our city at the beginning of this year. Housing price is soaring. The money i have now is not enough as i expected before. So i have to loan more. Is it a good time to buy one now? I doubt it. Who knows? Before i went home i didn't know buying house was a large time-consuming project. If i had enough money, that wouldn't be a question. There are too many questions i have to consider what to do. I want to buy a completed apartment, but after i visited many housing estate i found there was almost no one that was suitable for me. If i buy uncompleted apartment, it will cost me time. My working place is far away from the city i want to settle down in the future. unluckily, most completed apartments are left either big units or ground floor which i can't afford or dislike. How about second hand apartment? My brother advised me to think about it. I have looked through many second hand apartments, they are either almost as expensive as the new house or too old. It's too difficult for me to find an ideal house. Now i am experiencing the difference between ideality and reality.

How many people are worried about their house? how many people turn their blacke hair into white hair? how many people are bearing great suffering and pains when they loan a great money from the bank? How many people rush into marriage just for snatching a house? and how many....
All we need is to change our ideas.......It's hard at the first time, but you will be ok once you put down something important in others' eyes.....

Perhaps you have a rich prince nearby so you have nothing to worry about.

- Yes. this is indeed a very difficult decision. Buying a home is a very big decision. You are buying a house where you would live in for a long long time, so you must choose something which you like or at least be comfortable with. Every house has its own pros and cons, so it is not an easy decision.
Buy or not? If you have the required money or at least nearly enough, you should buy it. The reasons are simple. House prices would not go down because the building materials, cement, steel, labour and installation prices would keep increasing. Land prices would also increase. There are too many people wanting to buy so you would not find many nice houses to choose from. Should you find something close to what you want, buy it. The first few years would be difficult, but after that your salary would surpass your mortgage and your monthly payout would be smaller. The house would also increase in value. Furthermore, just regard this as getting onto the rain. Later you would always have the chance to change to better housing.

- I reckon that you don't need to think too much if you are a first home buyer, just buy the one you can afford. However, if you are an investor then you need to think seriously. In your case, you sound like you are first time dealing with the property market, just considering where ever is close to work and relatives, no matter if it is new or old. Anyway the property prices will go up or down in the future, you still need one for living, so you can't win.

- Buying house is a big burden for everyone in cities of China, especially for the youth, but you have to consider many things, such as your age, your marriage, your purpose, your family's economy ability,etc.
The most important question is that: How long will you plan to live in this house?
if you want this house to be your unique one, you could try your best to buy a new house, a bigger one, even the location is further from city center.
if you plan to buy another one in ten years, I suggest you buying a second-hand one, the second-hand houses are cheaper than new ones totally. prefer to chose a smaller one, in a better location, convenient for your work.

But some years past, frighted by the soaring house price, tired of renting an apartment and moving from one place to another, then I changed my mind and bought one last year.
Our so deep family-culture and so terrible rental system that we can't live as Americans, they prefer renting than buying when they are younger.
