A good news from my nephew

My nephew is now studying in high school, and next semester will be his senior year. He studies well except for English and Chinese and even though he always ranks into the top list of his grade. So now, you probably can have the sense that he chooses science as the major direction.
When I was at his age, I did not perform well in Chinese and some arts related subjects, that was why I chose to science. But later, I found everything is connected and interacted and nothing can be simply seperated from each other. Then I courage my nephew and tell of something about study, and let him know how important it is to master overall knowledge in all aspects to be an integrity.
Last Christmas, I wrote a card in English with my best wishes to him. A kid at his age needs to be encouraged and inspired, though a card did not bring him a huge gift, while I believe it was a pleasant joyfulness. Yesterday, I heard of a good news about his Engish growth. Now I think he more or less finds his way to study English, and soon I will see his amzing performance. The final mark is important, while the procedure of getting better is more essential since it is the way to develop a person's potential. That is the beauty of study, not for 'A's, but for comprehensive ability to know more about the knowledge.

- Your nephew is fortunate to have you giving him practical advise on studies and education. Choosing what to study and what to major in requires careful consideration. His own interest and what the society needs would determine his success in future and his own worth to society. Should he decide to study science subjects, then he better improve his English because a lot of advanced research and information are in English and English is used in most countries of the world. In other words, if he is good in English, there are unlimited opportunities for him. Since you are quite good in English, you can guide him on how to improve his English. Wish him the best.

- Yes, there more many materials are written in English, also many advanced research resources originated in English, that is why I told him to study Engish well so that he can gain more useful imformation both in his study and life.
