Around the lake

Yesterday afternoon I paid my first full walk around the West lake in this year. Though passing by it quite often, I rarely spend time to go around. It took me three hours to cover the round of the waters, or about 13 kilometers in the whole distance.
The old, the young, boys and girls, couples, foreigners, were all found in every corner. People stood by taking pictures, most of them brought a selfie stick (a kind of monopod can be hold in hand to take selfie pictures) to take pictures with their best friends by choosing an ideal angle. Leaves in some trees are becoming yellow and shrivelled, it is autumn. Every step I probably stamped on some leaves fell down by wind blowing off, they overlapped or just sporadically scattered around.
It was 6:00 P.M I went back to the point where I started out at 3:00 P.M. Jogging is the way to consume energy by sweating, while walking to relax both in mind and flesh. When evening came, lamps on streets and trees were lighting softly. It turned into another beauty and I ran into a colorful wonderland. Actually, the lake changes with all seasons, and even in a day. At any time, it shows its unique gorgeous quality. Shadowy skyline made everything into integrity among the peaceful lake.

- When I was 9 years old a family friend gave us a tin box of moon cakes and on the box was a colorful picture of a lake, pavilions, pagodas and the fairy Chang-e. I ask my mom where is this beautiful place. She told me it is West Lake, Hangzhou. The image remained in my mind since then. Just like any innocent kid, I dream of marrying a girl like Chang-e.
At that time, I said to myself, I must go and visit this place someday. Indeed I arrived at West Lake in 2010 with a good friend.
I passed through the busy town center and suddenly the waters of West lake appeared before my eyes. Indeed it was really like the picture with pavilions and the pagoda in the distance. Lotus blossoms in the waters of Flower Pond was beautiful (The place in your above picture). I wanted to walk along the shores of the lake and enjoy the scenery which looked easy, but I did not realize that it was such a long and tiring walk. When I reached and visited the pagoda. I had to return at the sun was setting. It was an unforgettable visit and I must go there again and take some good pictures for my family photo book.
The only unsatisfactory thing is that there are too many new buildings near the lake and the traffic near West Lake is terrible, especially during rush hours. West Lake is still one of the most beautiful scenic spots in China and everyone must visit West Lake at least once in a lifetime.

- I have never been there before, though I have ever heard it many times before. If possible, I would like going there for a month , in order to fully appreciate the beauty of there.
I have a habits that if I am really interested in somewhere, I would like do some study , mostly the culture, foods, customs, how people thinking in common sense, etc. Then, I will go there, for at least a month. In that way, I not only know the beautiful scneries there, but also learn something from there.

- The lake is a nice place. And almost every spot as long as there are people, always is fulled of people. But we can choose some time when there is not at holiday or the peak of people, then we can enjoy it.

- I like you way to study a place before you plan to go. It helps you to understand well in advance, and spare some days on the place you choose to be will make you know better about almost everything there. I like that, if I have time, I'd rather go somewhere as the way you do.
