Last Tuesday, I sent a file to Tokyo by FedEx. I thought I could receive the invoice issued from the service station soon. Usually it will be delivered to me within three days. But, yesterday I still did not get any news of it. Then I phoned the service hot line at noon. After checking the air way bill number, the service representative smiled with her sweet voice and guaranteed me she would dispose of this as soon as possible.
Ok. Let's wait then.
Before going off work, I was told the invoice had not been issued yet and that girl on the phone said she was sorry for the negligence. She asked me the title of my company and said it would be soon sent to me. Meanwhile, I was told I would be informed by a text message before delivering. 24 hours later, this afternoon, I got it. The courier brought it to me with great politeness. I satisfied with the efficient service and thanked him.
Here comes another story. There was a business trip I went to clients with one of my colleagues. After we had lunch we were told the restaurant, which was run in a shopping mall, did not issue invoices. The manager and waiters all explained to us reasons why they could not give us an invoice. We then called and sued the case to the local tax bureau. Three days later, I received the invoice mailed from that restaurant.
Any lawful operation either from giant companies or small business individuals, we all have rights to ask for the invoice after consuming and purchasing.

- Some establishments have special reasons for refusing to issue invoices. They may have been previous investigated for issuing doubtful invoices or they just don't want to have any trouble. However, the law states that for all monetary transactions, the customer or payee is entitled to a clear invoice or receipt. I keep all receipts and invoices in the drawer just in case I need it for refund or other purposes.

- In China, it's common phenomenon , if you dont ask for invoice by yourfelf, seems they will never offer the invoice to you.

- You have the right habit by keeping receipts and invoices. In most cases, we do not have that kind of concept to ask for invoices, and those sellers are usually likely to refuse offering invoices on purpose.

- you are entitled to have invoice after consuming. So the good multinational company serve better in small aspect. I think the restaurant not give you the invoice is lack of detailed internal management or maybe called negligence.
