Knowledge never shrivels. The difference between those who nag all day long and some ones who keep doing on what they pursue is perseverance.
A colleague who resigned months ago now starts his physical training for the preparation of national championship. He was trained in a sports school where he stayed for five years as a boxer. His youth was sacrificed to his sports career. After graduation, he came to our company as a guard and later took charge of the whole security job in respect that he did quite well with high responsibility.
We used to talk at spare time. His ambition revealed me he is a person with enthusiasm and pursuit. He is not well educated, because he dropped out in middle school and then went for his dream of becoming a boxer. He did it. What else he could do since one day he cannot fight any more. After all, everyone is aging.
Months ago, he believed he should step out and realize his dream of becoming a real boxer. And now he is exercising before he becomes too old to compete any more. Actually he is still young. At least much younger than me. When he ends up boxing career he could resort to some other fields.
That moment he taught me some of boxing skills about how to punch and react, how to glove, how to build up stamina, etc., still impresses me. The good point is, by following his suggestions, that I have enhanced biceps and toned up strength, have abdominal muscles improved. Cool after sweat.
Life could be made from many chapters.
He once said to me:
Before I get old, I would fight. A player’s career is brief. After working here for more than three years, I have already learnt something. Now it is time. My heart is burning, my blood is full of fighting.
