Siberian cold wave

This week is about to suffer a strong cold wave from Siberia from where it brings the extreme cold throughout the majority of mainland. According to the weather forecast, in the following next two days, here it drops to be colder and then starts to snow on Thursday, which turns to be heavy snow on Friday. On the Weekend, the lowest temperature would be eleven degrees below zero.
Walking on the street, the wind blew terribly and skin was scraped to be painful by its chilly coldness. So weather it is going to snow or not, one thing is assured that the coldest days are coming soon. If it hits at the coldest temperature, it will rewrite the history record.
It might freeze the West Lake into huge iced pond. There are two impressive lake frozen events happened in 1977 and 1991, respectively. At that time, people could walk on the lake.
On the way home, people talked about: How to keep warm in the severe cold weather. What kind of a life would be like to live in the cold areas? Do they get by that? What is the minus eleven degrees under the damp cold equivalent to be in those northern places with dry cold weather?
Never could be colder as it is now. They were with some sort of worries and expectations as well. Shivering from the fear of the cold stops no longing for the icy beauty. Any word pales to the masterpiece from god in terms of description. Speechless.
What it will be like? Wait and see.

- Wow.. real winter is finally here. It is really cold and my hands are stiff. At night, the thick quilts and blankets keep us warm and gives us deep sleep in such cold weather. The cold air seems to seep in through the side of the quilts and we can catch a cold. I had to stop all those cold air coming in through the blanket. Getting out of bed in the morning is a struggle. After a hot drink and a filling breakfast it feels warmer.
West Lake looks so romantic in the snow. Every season brings unique beauty to the West Lake. Lets see if it would snow in the days ahead.
