Today is Great cold, the last one of twenty four solar terms, which means the coldest time of winter is now coming. This time is special and abnormal. At the first beginning of this winter, it does not show the extreme cold, now it suddenly hits to be the coldest. But it is very perfect to its name of Great Cold right now.
People flock into supermarkets and any places where sell vegetables, meat and other food. Due to the emergency and negative anticipation, the price at some places has now already doubled, or tripled, even quadrupled. Chinese cabbages robbed within few minutes.
The good news is the Price Bureau now has announced to control the condition and related bureaus and departments declare the supplements and necessities assured and the shortage of supply solved too.
Schools, including, kindergartens, primary schools and middle schools are ordered to close up all teachings, and final exams are postponed.
It is reported that suburban areas where are colder than the center of the city had already snowed since this afternoon. In the following two days it continues and will stop on this weekend. Then, after the snow, it would be another frozen world.
After work, it snowed slightly. Few flakes were flying in the air and reluctant to land. Sleet could be also good. Hardly trace the snow, because it melted soon after landing on the earth. Because of the cold day, fewer people came out. So the Lake now is much quieter and sweeter. Stopped by its tranquility and elegance, I was attractive to be standing there for a while.
Cold did not barricade enthusiasm from me. At that moment, the world became peaceful. After a day’s work, then I felt totally refreshed from its cold breeze softened my mind. Awaken from drizzle, blinking stars from waves of waters mirroring upon my eyes.
The hill decorated with lamps was shinning gentle lights and casting its glory against the lake. Overlooking the road lying on the foot of hill, pedestrians and vehicles snailed slowly and quietly.
Let it frame at that moment.

- it that mountain contains LinYing Temple? I can not see the snow in the picture, but it must be beautiful like fairy story described in the book.
No any sign of snowing in shanghai, normal cold as these days and after a warm shower i feel maybe the snow are trapped fully in HZ and dwindling on the road to SH.

- The temple is not on that hill. It locates on the northwest to the lake. Snow can not be found, since it melts into water on the ground. The temperature now is not so cold in comparison with suburban and rural countryside.

Tonight it will snow heavily and tomorrow probably can be found. In the following two days, it accompanies this city. Also with its chilly weather explains well for this winter.

- Snow on the West Lake would look great in contrast to the familiar greenery. Indeed the great cold period has arrived. There were exceptional heavy rain downpour during the last few days which means that extreme cold is approaching. Today the temperature dropped It is very cold now and the rain has not stopped. The streets are deserted and there very few people out there. I ventured out for a walk. The only place filled with people are the hotpot shops down the road, so my neighbor and me ordered a hotpot for two. We had the choice of ''Three fresh pot''which seems originate from Hangzhou and the ''Mixed hot pot'' of Shanghai.
The weather office says the weekend would be chilly and extremely cold. I must take out some warm clothes and prepare for the oncoming cold weather. Take care everyone and don't catch a cold.
