Good days in the Spring Festival

According to the weather forecast, I can have the comfortable holiday with sunny and warm days. This is the vary rare holiday. In most cases, the weather is either cold or rainy. Probably, the extreme cold and snow has brought prosperity for those survive.
Good days, good mood. Being home with parents is nice. I like this kind of quiet. On the Eve of Spring Festival, we had the supper. Mom cooked us so many palatable food. Piles of dishes amassed on the table and the scene really looked very warm and liked a banquet. She always worries that I can not eat in the canteen and hopes I can eat more. Quite moved. The best merciful parental love anytime connect and act on us. We just could not care not that too much till the time we have been parted with them for a long time.
Most guys on that evening were busy with poking their phone screens in the hope of getting lucky money via the app of Alipay. Unfortunately, only few ones were lucky enough. Most people did not finally collect the five lucky greeting cards and failed to win the chance to share the lucky money from Alipay with amount bonus of 250,000,000. Some told me they were waiting and wishing that they could have a lucky money, while it turned out they only got several bucks. I was also asked to join in them, and I tried several times which was strongly supportive of my previous conclusion, that is we are easily to be fooled by those activities. Since we really sacrificed time for the mind of getting some unexpected money while finally it showed we almost got nothing. Fun is for fun.
The whole night was in the sound of fireworks and firecrackers. Holy god, what if the old could not sustain the noise. The sky was sharply bright as if it was in the daytime. Traditional culture rooted in everyone's genes. This strongly drives the magnificent cheerfulness.
Now I am in the balcony and enjoying the warm sunshine. The warmth vividly tells the spring is really coming with greenery around. In the beginning of New Year, wish everything goes well.

- Wow.. what a nice start for the Lunar New Year. Spring is definitely here. The weather was so pleasant. Bright warm sunshine, sweet scent of unpolluted air, far clear view of distant places and overall comfortable feeling. Suddenly, the streets was deserted because the 2nd day of the new years is not suitable for new year visits. Shops remain closed and traffic was scarce and quiet. Never seen such a relaxed scene here. A bit ironic as the year of the monkey is supposed to be active. It is distressing to note that in a few days, it would return to the madness of daily hush and rush.
I am envious of you spending the day with your parents in the comfort of your own home with a home cooked meal. It may be a bit burdensome the elders to cook heavy meals but most of them would be delighted to carry out the task because everyone would be be together savoring their favorite home cooked food. This is the essence family life and parents are most delighted by such occasions of peaceful family gathering. No wonder they say the family is a haven in a heartless world. It is much more preferable than eating out at those noisy commercial restaurants where everyone is head downwards focused on their cellphones.
I am not fortunate enough to have my parents present, therefore, I had to buy my food for myself. I love those New Year brown sweet soft Glutinous rice cakes so I bought a whole round piece of cake which can last a few days, but I these need to be fried with egg toppings to take good. I can only steam and boil food and do not have the facilities to fry food. Fortunately, a neighbor offered to fry the cakes for me and it taste wonderful. The also favored my with bowls of Tangyuan (Glutinous rice dumplings in sweet soup). The merrily joked that this was their return for the things I did for them all year round. I am a good electrician and can repair all sorts of complicated electrical and electronic appliances which I learnt at night school before. Actually, it is just helping each other wherever we can.
Just a few days more and these pleasant resting days would be over, so let's relax and enjoy it the way we prefer to.

- This the quite moment that we can have in these few days. At least for me, it is. While others are still busy paying visit to relatives and other family members. Some people have to position to be on duty even at this special holiday. Soldiers are guarding on boarders and policemen are also ready for the unexpected cases. And many others, bus drivers and so on.

We are lucky compared to those guys. This is the reason I do very cherish the current moment that I have and appreciate the peaceful time that we can live.
Yes, at home, I enjoy having many good food and fruits. There are so yummy. But I cannot eat them all, I have to keep diet though they are so good. I am just full with them.
Glutinous rice cakes, I have them at my breakfast. And then walk around, later go back to read and deal some of my files and some others.
A few days later, it is going to be very warmer, also another snow (according to the weather report, and if so, it should be the forth snow as of this winter), whatever let's wait and Spring has already come.
What a good time that we embrace the warmth of sunshine and soon even there are fragrance of kinds of flowers.
