From waxberry to tradition

Between the rainy days and sudden cloudy weather, it surely torments people. Meanwhile, it is at the harvest season of waxberry. My colleague sent me some and at the same time I received another small basket of those dark red berries from a friend. When I was called from family there purchased some too, I felt a must to ferment them into drink again since we cannot eat all. The good news is that I have several glass jars which used to contain berry wine before.
My schoolmate has phoned me again to pick berries. He explains to me if I am not available he just delivers me some. I appreciate his hospitality and agree to visit him when I am free. The relation we have been keeping all the time ever since we made in the university. School life is always full of good memory and the friendship among students usually is worth of owning.
The convenience of scientific development helps us find it easier to build up communication. And we even do not write letters because a phone call or an email solves most problems. No matter how advanced the technology would be like, it cannot replace the basic emotional contact since we are not robots.
Most ones now meet the problem that they are not able to write once they try to write down something. That kind of character amnesia happens. Another problem is most of us feel hard to write well. We are amused by our awkward script due to unfamiliarity of handwriting. We rarely write by hand nowadays. I still remember in primary school I was taught to write in brush and won a second prize in a calligraphy competition. I hardly see schools advocating of brush writing, instead, only declaration of how many students has been enrolled to those famous universities.
As a matter of fact, many of good traditions should be inherited. Thus, I’d rather like reading paper material books. The goodness of traditional reading does not harm too much for eyes and also I enjoy reading as well as the great smell of paper. I also have cultivated the habit of keeping notes with my pen in ink. Whenever I open a notebook, I recall myself on those written characters in papers.
So a visit in person will be more meaningful not only has it fulfilled “Long time no see”, but also realized the joyfulness of picking.

- That's a reality things for us.whenever you go you must see most people bow his head and see the cellphone.Why the people don't like to write down something on the paper.I think because the communication tools is very much.They are convenience for us.but I think we should write somethings on the paper,That is difference feeling!that spend your much times but that's cool!

- Envy you being able to pick waxberries off the trees, particularly when you can have them fermented for extended storage and consumption. Here we can only buy those from the supermarket or farm stores. You also have an old schoolmate to accompany you. Such good friends are not easy to have.
It is indeed confusing with all these Electronic communication devices which we have to use every day. It does help in our contacts with others, but somehow, I feel the contacts are too electronic and lack human interaction.
Chinese students use the Brush and black ink to write impressive Chinese characters. We also have practice writing, but we have to use those steel nib pens to write scriptures. It does help improve our handwriting in those days, but how was we to know that in our present day, we do not even need to hand write. The keyboard has taken over. We are now in the age of technology and we are held captive but our cellphones and computers.

After being involved in the electronic devices, I choose to stay away from them, and take a rest in the peace environment where I can calm down myself.
Those traditional things, mostly we can benefit something from them, while most of them now are just discarded. Sigh.

Speaking of Berries, they are very expensive in Australia. I have picked once directly from the field in Adelaide, the smell and taste are awesome.
My handwriting is awful, probably I have never had a chance for handwriting, and also, I can’t keep it practicing on a continuous basis.
I prefer reading articles from the traditional books than e-books. Now, in Australia, high school students are using Ippad for having classes and taking notes. I don’t think it’s good for eyes.

The harvest of berries now makes every one of us here eat that almost everyday. My colleague bring some today and share to us again. Very tasty.
As the handwriting, you can do that too by exercising. You will find it interesting and meanwhile you can learn how to write whatever in English letters or Chinese characters. It just gives us the chance to generate inner peace in the process of writing some words by a pen. And, it helps to rebuild one's personality. Usually, we probably tell what kind of person is by seeing his handwriting. Since most of us now use a keyboard to write something, we just can not judge one's quality. While we can see a guy from his scripts.
Reading is a very effective method to find ourselves when we read words from a book. As if we are talking to the author and are going back to the time when the story happened. In the hope of eyes protecting, a book would the best choice.
