Tradeoff?  Please be off

Recently I am reading something about economics. People tell me that learning some economics could make my life more efficient and high quality. I party agree with the saying but not the whole.

One crucial concept in the principles of economics is the opportunity cost, referring to what you give up to obtain the item. When people make decisions, they have to face the tradeoff, considering the cost and the benefits. There is no absolute white and black choice in the world, but the grey area. So as a rational person, he or she must balance the marginal changes and make the individual decision.

However, when it comes to application, I cannot install the economic program to my daily life, because it adds up the complexity of making a decision and pierce the veil of life. Even though I have never thought that life is very beautiful and ideal, at least it still remains uncertain and visionary factors when you analyze every life element like a scientist and even do something calculation to come to a conclusion, you have lost the joy of life. Suppose when a girl deciding to marry the boy or the other, if she use the methodology of economics, she will firstly collect all the information of the two boys, because the symmetric information is vital to a decision maker. In the ensuing proceedings, she will consider the opportunity cost of giving A boy for B boy. The opportunity cost may be including the time, youth, money and houses, cars and even true love, which mixing with material things and spiritual elements. The process is very sophisticated and varying from person to person. And as for me, I prefer to give up the two boys both rather than solve such an entangled and puzzled economic question. Life is still keeping on running without the economics style thinking.

There is only one golden economic rule that I believe, there is no such a thing as a free lunch. Life is always fair. When you want something, you must lose something. As for the efficiency, yes, economy is concerning the pie. But economy cannot decide how big the pie is. Only the efforts and pains can enlarge the pie. In hence, as an individual who is facing up the independence of twenties, the top concern is how to make the pie as big as possible but not to use the tactics and strategies to approach the destination. I am on the way of picking up the pure and simple belief again. Life could be simple as long as we keep ourselves simple.
