I didn't think I could get home tonight. This afternoon I went to attend the meeting for the parents of the students offered bed and board at school. I had planned to spend this night at the waiting room of the railway station in the provincial town as last time. But the talk between the conductor and a passenger on the bus taking me to the capital city changed my mind through which I knew the last bus leaving for our town is at 6：30 pm. So I thought it possible to catch it if the meeting ended as late as the past meeting for I could take a taxi to the station when the left time was too short for me to go to the station by bus. I was glad the meeting closed at 5 o'clock pm , quite earlier than expected and giving me enough time to take a city bus to the bus carrying me home.      .
