The Kalun-Changchun buses have all changed into air-conditioned ones which are windowless. The air-conditioners are not turned on unless the buses are started and on the move when their doors and narrow openings in the roofs are all closed. I have got used to the buses with windows that can be opened and closed as required. Yesterday when I got on the one for our provincial city, it was scorchingly hot inside and soon I was soaked with sweat. I waited patiently in agony until it moved away from the station in our little town. On my way back, we passengers were not allowed to get in the bus until a few minutes before its departure.
