Wholesale Sacrificial Paper

Elder brother has been running the business of sacrificial paper for several years. He usually had a signboard lean on the wall outside near the gate. The shop sign was a plank on which nailed a piece of cardboard with the writing ‘Wholesale Sacrificial Paper' in ink vertically above and the telephone number horizontally below. Now he decided to replace it with a new one. The other day he went to a sign maker who told him it would cost ￥150. Reluctant to pay the high price, he turned to me for help. Yesterday dusk he brought me a plank painted sky blue, a tin of white paint and a brush. He made this noon the deadline for finishing the writing on the front and back. So I was occupied with it last night and almost the whole morning. It was really worth the price asked.

- Signboards are fun to make. You can make it look eye catching and neat if you have good handwriting. You can also use adhesive plastic to cut out the characters and use it to imprint neatly onto the board to make it look professional. Seems you don't have that much time to do much. I myself, like to do a lot of repairs myself saving a lot of money and time. Even my neighbors sometimes send over appliances for repairs, but unfortunately, those repairs overwhelmed me and I had to limit the repair service.
