Hasty divorce

Divorce used to be considered shameful. However, it is a commonplace nowadays. The newly –weds are not sure if they could be faithful to each other later in their life. Couples living together until old age would be a rare thing. A lasting marriage would be taken abnormal when too many families get broken. When the loyal couples are in the minority compared with the divorced ones, they may one day wonder whether they are too old fashioned or too strict with themselves. And they may envy the freedom of the loose couples enjoy. Some day in the future they may be tempted to join the growing open-minded majority who divorce again and again like playing games to reject the old and crave for the new because they have enough money to do so. Anyway, living for pleasure is not a crime.

- In a family, husband and wife play different roles. In the past, husband makes money to support the family, and wife deals with home trifles. nowadays, it's difficult for the husband to support a family alone. So the wife get out of home and work for the money. The independent income bring women the opportunities of making choice. I think this is the point of high divorce rate.

- With the improvement of living standard, nowadays people are caring more about spiritual life. Unless the past when making ends meet is the main purpose, couples today are pursuing higher level of happiness. Money is concrete, easy to earn through hard work, but feelings is abstract, hard to be satisfied. No one is perfect. Everyone has its shortcoming more or less. However people tend to tolerate their own weakness but never others'. So more and more people choose to live alone, or change life partners.

- Neither side wants to ask for too much. Another factor is about money and pressure. We needs to work hard for earning money. Meanwhile we are under various pressure. So we become impatient ,anxiety, which resulting in conflict between couples.

- Actually, the core of a married relationship is having children. People believe that without children, a marriage is not consummated. Children of marriages would hold the marriage together. Another factor of marriages breaking up is money. People envy others who are getting rich and living well. They would go astray and seek a better life. Marriage means two people getting together supporting each other and walking the long road of life together. Nobody promised you are rose garden, there's gonna be some rain sometime. Hold hands and walk through the storm with faith and care.
