Mother's  good health derives from her traditional way of life. She prefers to occupy herself with something rather than idle away her time. She was ever persuaded to dwell in our apartment for a short period with nothing to do. It made her feel awfully tedious. She had a toothache as a result. Then she returned to our bungalow she has been quite used to. From spring to autumn she is busy growing vegetables before the house and in the backyard. The bumper harvest can satisfy our demand on the one hand, and it brings her a sense of achievement on the other. In winter she keeps the bedroom warm by cooking on the stove connecting with the kang and lights the stove starting the central heating system. She also removes the snow by herself.
