Winter has set in for a period. I'm getting used to the season slowly. Winter dominates our region nearly six months every year. Thanks to it, both peasants and the fields enjoy half a year's holiday annually. The infections reduce greatly during this season. People can have a good sleep in the long night without being plagued by mosquitoes. The cold weather triggers the appetite of the locals. Therefore the inhabitants' health improves remarkably. That may be the reason why northerners live longer than southerners. Moreover, the poetic snow scene can be available now and then, which will give boundless delight to adults and children.

Reply sunnyv 2013-11-14 10:26: Different region, different tolerance to the changing weather. Cold winter? You can enjoy it, not for me. Yes, it is true that northerners live longer than southerners and northerners are more healthy than those in the south but the body needs to remain warm for biological reasons so there are obvious benefits for warmer climate. Furthermore, northerners are more prone to being overweight due to the high content of fat in their diets.

As for snow scenes, yes, it looks so nice on pictures, but, the cold force people to remain indoors most of the time.

Anyway, everyone has his own choice on where to reside, so it actually for the individuals themselves to choose.
