Blasphemed marriage

Hot 1562 views. 2013-12-21 08:39 | marriage, contract, everyone, husband, falling

Marriage is a serious thing, a right with many obligations falling upon those married people. It is a lifelong contract which requires the husband and the wife to observe faithfully. Any party can't break it with another one at will. Otherwise he or she must be punished and condemned severely. Therefore not everyone has the right to marry. First, a marrying person must be virtuous.  Second, he or she must adopt a prudent policy before marriage. He or she must make a thorough inspection of the possible partner to ensure him or her a good spouse. At the current age of loose morals, it is really hard to find a person of strict morals as partner with whom to live in harmony until death.

The following is an official vow we all have to make at the time of a legal marriage. I wonder how many of us can really adhere to the promise made at that time.

''I, (groom, take you, (bride)
to be my wife/husband, to have and to hold
from this day forward; for better, for worse,
for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health,
to love and to cherish, till death us do part' ''

Marriages nowadays face insurmountable challenges including housing, employment, financial, social, health, faithfulness, third party interference and a lot of other pressures. Somewhere along the line, the relationship gets stressed and risk breaking up. It does takes a lot of courage and commitment to overcome all these challenges, therefore, my advice to young people is think it over seriously before you commit yourself. When a marriage fails, you are bring yourself, spouse, children and relatives down.

Promises can't be casually made at the formal wedding ceremony. Most of the newlyweds say the words just as a mere formality. They'll forget them very soon for nobody would investigate if they could keep their word later. No party would be prosecuted for breaking his or her promises.

Right. The marriage system needs a revolution or overhaul to make those who fail to fulfill the promises to pay or suffer. People seems to need supervision and punitive action to act responsibly. At present there are no consequences for divorce. Just say sorry and part.
