On Christmas

Hot 1485 views. 2013-12-25 23:02 | occasion, children, received, teachers, benefit

Christmas arrives again. Several of my colleagues received some fruits from the pupils who showed their love and respect on this occasion. I was lucky to share a few bites of the little gifts. This transplanted holiday seems to have enriched the lives of the youth. In the meantime, it is really satisfying to see them tendering their sincere gratitude to their teachers. This may be the most valuable effect brought about by the holiday. As far as I know, children benefit most from the holiday for they can get their desired gifts. When they grow up, they must find that it was their parents rather than Santa Claus that brought gifts to them. Then they'll try to repay their parents later while they do the same to their own children. So love is passed down from one generation to another without end.

So long as the gifts are voluntary and without strings attached, teachers would certainly feel the warmth and gratitude of their students. There is a Chinese epithet which says; ''Receive a favor from somebody, remember it for a thousand years.'' We all remember our teachers of primary school because we were so innocent at that time and the teachers were our source or knowledge.

My school had an open open last year and I visited the school and saw the seat and desk where I used to sit. At the garden of our school, I was surprised to meet my favorite former teacher Mrs. Lee. I was more surprised when she still remembered quite a lot about me correctly ... but ... haha, she did not have to be so honest that I was so naughty.
