The other day I was badly hurt when attempting to tame the boy making trouble in class. The circumstances of the injured toe deteriorated day by day for the blood vesicle on it got bigger and bigger. Mother was so worried that she told me to have it treated at once in hospital. Then I hobbled to the hospital nearby. But to my disappointment, no doctors could be found there. So I headed for the clinic opened by the former head of the hospital. After I introduced my condition to him, he advised me to go to hospital. Finally I went to Doctor Wang's clinic and he was once a doctor with a good reputation. He first tore open the swelling blood blister letting the red fluid out. Then he slowly pulled the nail away, during which I groaned with pain. After bathing the wound, he bound it up carefully.

- Normally an injured toe would heal itself, but it depends on whether there are internal bone injuries. Should the pain persist for more than 3 weeks, you would need to have your take an x-ray of your toe to evaluate the injury. However, if the pain extends further into the feet or if there are other unusual symptoms, then you would need immediate medical treatment.
Your doctor did the right thing by cleansing and disinfecting your wound. The bandaging and dressing would to be changed or renewed in a few days otherwise yellowish pus may be formed.
Should you feel better as time pass, then you are on the course of recovery.
